We always have so much fun together! My sister-in-law just got excepted to Ball State! She's so excited!

Christmas with the Family

Despite the fact that half of our family members were effected by the bad ice storm that came through last Thursday night, we all made it together for Christmas. I have a great family and I am always thankful to be with all of them any chance I get. (no matter how much we can get on each others nerves)

MAKING THE MOST OF THE STORM

We may not have had electricity but the boys and I still found a way to have a great time! Our yard was completely covered in ice, so instead of sledding on snow, we went "ice sledding". It was a blast. I even participated in the sledding, it was great fun!

Deep Freeze 2008

This is just a sneak peak into our life for a few day. A bad ice storm went through on December 18th. By the morning of the 19th we didn't have any power. Our whole town was in a black out. We ran into Fort Wayne to see if there was anything we could use to heat the house. No luck, everyone else had the same idea. It was pretty scary, especially when AEP was saying no one would have power until Wednesday!! Chad (my wonderful and amazing husband) was able to rig up something that ran off his car battery to keep the house warm. But we had to camp out for few days in the living room. We shut off the rest of the house. I've never seen so much ice in my life. But we made the best of it.

The Simple Joys of Childhood

My niece and nephew, Ally and Aydan came to stay with us this weekend. Ally, Aydan, Austin, and Jacob had a great time decorating the Christmas tree, coloring, and popping Jiffy Pop! Ahhhh... memories!

Christmas Party with Friends

What a wonderful time this was. This weekend was my work Christmas Party. Since there is only three of us that work in the office, we had the dinner at my bosses house. It was a wonderful dinner, and a great way to get to know everyone better.

Austin's Christmas Concert

Today Austin had his Christmas concert at school! It was the best one yet. This year Austin asked to be apart of the Roanoke Rhythm Choir. I never knew he had it in him until this year. He practiced everyday! Everyday you could hear him in his room singing his little heart out practicing.
Unfortunately, the photos didn't really turn out due to the lighting in the gym and my camera but you can still see how proud he was.
Austin is the one wearing the blue and white Colts hat! They were singing the Rooftop Rap! I would love to post the video but I'm having a few issues with getting it on here. It was GREAT!

Thanksgiving at Carrie's

This year was so much fun. We had Thanksgiving at my sisters house. There was so much food we didn't know what to do with it all. Everyone made it this year. Even Joshua and Chelsea and they have a baby coming soon. The best part about the whole night was watching everyone do the Wii Fit. That was the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Happy Halloween!

The boys had a great time Trick or Treating this year. They had all kinds of energy in the beginning, running from house to house. By the end of the treck through our housing addition they were moving like snails. (but so was mom and dad)
